Here At Every day Counseling we are committed to the positive benefits of change that mindfulness therapies can bring to your life. We offer Telehealth, or in home counseling using video conferencing or telephone based treatment. Therapy’s that we offer are best practice for Depression, Anxiety, Impulsivity and many other types of mental health issues.

What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is a way of life. Jon Kabat-Zinn defines it as “awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose in the present moment, non-judgmentally, in the service of self-understanding and wisdom.”

To better bring about this way of living, to improve ones quality of life, Every Day Counseling focuses on what are called Mindfulness-Based approaches to therapy. Some of these approaches, such as Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, or MBCT, focus on how we perceive life events and are very cognitive based. Others, like Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, or DBT, focus more on skills that can be applied in moments when mindfulness tends to escape us and are more behavioral based.

What kind of issues do you work with?

Every Day Counseling is founded primarily for the treatment of Depression and Anxiety, and Michael Snowden, LCSW also has a wide range of experience treating severe and persistent mental health issues as well, such as Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia, while spending much of his career specializing in Borderline Personality Disorder and Addiction issues.

Okay, but how does it work?

We use zoom as our tool of choice. Zoom can be used on a cellphone or computer. This means that all therapy is done in your home, your own safe place as you choose it. Other than being in an office that you would have to drive or commute too, it is otherwise the same as any other counseling services.

How do I know if this is right for me?

In home therapy is not for everyone. We do know that some people just do better in person, and others do better over the phone or by video conference.
